I juggle multiple responsibilities, strive to keep my children safe, and stretch every resource to secure their future. One of my proudest moments was watching my daughter succeed in college. This demonstrates that when families receive support, young people tend to thrive.

I've lived the experience. Therefore, I know our problems

I raised four children in this community, and like so many other working families, the daily challenges that we face can all be traced back to two common themes: affordability and fighting for our future. Our young people thrive when presented with support and opportunity, but affordability is still a daunting obstacle to this success for too many in District 41.

Like many parents across this district, one of my proudest moments is watching my daughter succeed in college. However, my own family has also experienced the horrific failures of systems meant to protect us. My son is serving a life sentence for a self-defense incident. We fought hard, and we appealed with indisputable evidence,

become inaccessible without money, influence or political connections. In other words, affordability has become an obstacle to justice. Hurricane Ian destroyed my neighborhood in Orlo Vista, including my own home. Our insurance company denied the majority of our claims, leaving many of our families to fend for ourselves.
